Advanced EXCEL 16

“[For my determined purpose is] that I may know Him [that I may progressively become more deeply and intimately acquainted with Him, perceiving and recognizing and understanding the wonders of His person more strongly and more clearly], and that I may in that same way come to now the power outflowing from His resurrection [which it exerts over believers], and that I may so share His sufferings as to be continually transformed [in spirit into His likeness even] to His death.” Philippians 3:10

All of Christianity, our struggles, our joys, our purpose, may be summed up in these words. We can do, be, see, talk, pray, sing, and say all the right things, but if we fail to know Christ our good deeds will merely façade an empty soul groping in the darkness.

One of the purposes of Advanced EXCEL is to cause young Christian women to know Christ. Not just to know who He is, and what He did, but to know who He is, His attributes, and to know what is the breadth, length, and height of His love toward them.

Knowing Christ is the springboard from which comes any meaningful ministry or vocation. Without knowing Christ, there can be no vision, and where there is no vision, the people perish.

Take time to know our God, to be still before Him, listen, and enjoy His presence. Make it your determined purpose to know Christ.
